What is tragic is that many people suffer sociopaths who MUST have control over others, believing themselves (the victim) to be at fault and the perpetrator to be a saint who should be given credit for putting up with the victim's stated faults and inadequacies. Sounds like much of domestic abuse but this is wider spread than domestic abuse.
I have known such sociopaths in the past.
I have such a sociopath too close to me now. They are emotional parasites who like to destroy yet on the surface there is an almost impeccable facade which goes back to what I brought up when mentioning Dr Barbara Oakley and her book
